Marriage Certificate

Eligibility :

1. Municipal Corporation / Municipality / Panchayat does not register for each marriage,Marriage in this Municipal Corporation / Municipality / Panchayat area will only be registered through this service.
2. Grooms must be over 21 years old and the bride must be over 18 years old.

Necessary documents:

1. Application form signed by husband and wife.
2. Documents related to Birth Certificate to assure Grooms age of 21 years or more and the bride’s age is 18 years or more at the time of marriage in registration under special marriage act.(10th scoresheet / passport / birth certificate ).
3. Ration card of husband / wife issued by SDM in respective area.
4. Documents assuring your stay in Chhattisgarh for more than 30 days under Special Marriage Act(Report of Ration Card or related SHO)
5. Affidavit of both parties in which the place of marriage, date of marriage, marital status and nationality during marriage.
6. Two passport size photographs of both sides and a photograph of marriage.
7. Marriage invitation letter, if any.
8. If the marriage is done in a religious place then the certificate by the priest who completes the marriage.
9. Divorce order in case of divorced and verified copy of death certificate in case of widow / widower.

Fee Details:

• Rs 30.00Application processing fee
• Marriage registration fee upto 500 (after one month).

Estimated date of issue of certificate:

• Generally, any response will be given after 15 days of application.
